About the Story
When Uncle Joe packs his old red truck for a summer visit with family, he brings everything he needs for the journey—his big tent, favorite musical instruments, and plenty of treats for the road. What he doesn’t know is that a tiny mouse named Henry has secretly packed his own little suitcase and decided to come along for the adventure.
After days filled with family, laughter, music, and songs under the stars, it is finally time for Uncle Joe to head home. But this time, little Henry misses the ride and is accidentally left behind. Frightened and alone, Henry soon discovers an unexpected friend—a kind little boy who gives him a safe and warm home and cares for him until Uncle Joe returns.
A sweet and heartwarming story about kindness, friendship, compassion, and keeping promises, Uncle Joe Came to Visit and Left a Mouse in the House reminds young readers that even a small act of kindness can make a very big difference.
